Matthew P. Reed 氏は、Don B. Chaffin Collegiateの研究教授で、ミシガン大学交通研究所のBiosciences Groupの責任者でもあります。人体計測学や生体力学に関連するさまざまな研究を行っています。例えば、車両の人間工学や車両乗員保護装置に関する研究などです。またヒューマンモーション・シミュレーション・ラボラトリー(HUMOSIM Lab)を率いる人間工学研究センターの研究教授でもあります。HUMOSIM Labでは、デジタルヒューマンモデリングソフトウェアで使用する動作シミュレーションアルゴリズムや人間工学解析ツールの開発を行っています。

Matthew P. Reed Ph.D.
Matthew P. Reed Ph.D. is the Don B. Chaffin Collegiate Research Professor and Head of the Biosciences Group of the University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute. He conduct research in a variety of areas relating to anthropometry and biomechanics, including vehicle ergonomics and vehicle occupant crash protection. He is also a Research Professor in the Center for Ergonomics in Industrial and Operations Engineering, where he leads the Human Motion Simulation Laboratory. The HUMOSIM Lab develops movement simulation algorithms and ergonomics analysis tools for use with digital human modeling software.
